Siegwerk, a global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications and labels, has strengthened its long-standing partnership with US-based premium food packaging manufacturer The Revere Group. Siegwerk has helped the company achieve a more efficient, reliable, and sustainable production.

By switching to Siegwerk’s low-migration SICURA Nutriflex ORBIS DC inks, faster press speeds, improved uptime, and consistent Expanded Color Gamut (ECG) printing were enabled. The Revere Group also saw reduced waste and more easily supported customer-focused sustainability goals.

The Revere Group, a fourth-generation, family-owned company located in Seattle, WA, uses advanced ECG printing to reproduce over 90% of Pantone colors accurately and repeatably with seven instead of four inks. Meanwhile, the converter minimizes the need for clean-ups between print jobs.

SICURA Nutriflex ORBIS DC inks can be cured with both UV and LED lamps, which not only maximizes operational flexibility but also supports sustainability efforts.

New sustainable opportunities

Beyond performance improvements for food packaging applications, the collaboration has also opened up new opportunities in sustainable packaging for The Revere Group. Through close technical exchange and access to Siegwerk’s global expertise, the company has expanded its capabilities through the use of special primers for compostable applications and recyclable mono-material structures. These innovations have enabled the creation of new sustainable packaging options. The Revere Group can now meet the growing customer demand for environmentally responsible flexible packaging solutions.
